I Love Being A Father

I’ve always wanted to be a father, so when my wife told me she was pregnant, it was one of the happiest days of my life. Even happier still, was the day our daughter was born. I cut the umbilical cord and looked into the eyes that would change the meaning of my life forever. I was a father then, and would be from that moment forward.

As we carried our new child out of the hospital, watching her sleeping face and her small chest rise and fall with the fresh breaths of a new world around her, I felt my throat burn with emotion. I couldn’t wait to get back home to my own daughter. She’d enjoy this new baby even more than she did the last.
